Dr. Elizabeth (Beth) Kollar is a graduate of UC Davis, where she earned a BS in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior. She received her DVM from UC Davis as well in 2005. Following veterinary school, she completed a small animal rotating internship at San Francisco Veterinary Specialists (2006). Dr. Kollar came to SAGE from the University of Pittsburgh, where she was a post-doctoral fellow at the McGowan Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Prior to the University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Kollar was an emergency clinician at Greenback, VCA Brookline, and North Shore Animal Hospitals.
Dr. Kollar particularly enjoys the challenges of emergency medicine and surgery. When not practicing, Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter doing outdoor activities like hiking or biking. They also travel around the world for scuba diving vacations and bike trips. She is the proud owner of two dogs, Merlin and Bodhi, and a cat, Princess Buttercup. Beth was drawn to veterinary medicine by both her interest in science and love of animals.

Oncology

Dr. Kathy Andres graduated from UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine with honors and completed a small animal internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. After several years of family and emergency practice in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Andres fulfilled her dream of becoming a veterinary oncologist through her residency in oncology at BAVS and achieving board certification in 2011. She has received numerous awards during her academic and clinical training acknowledging her gentle approach to pets and their families and her special interest in the field of oncology.
At work, Dr. Andres enjoys collaborating and learning from her veterinary colleagues. She develops long-term relationships with her clients and patients and loves to hear their stories while developing therapy plans that meet the needs of the family and of the patient.
Originally from the East Coast, Dr. Andres lives in her beloved San Francisco with her family including several dogs, a cat and multiple parrots. She enjoys being silly with kids, home remodeling, cooking and reading late into the night.
Surgery

Dr. Hani Korani completed his small animal surgery residency at North Carolina State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, where he learned the technical skills and confidence to perform complicated and intricate surgeries.
Previously, Dr. Korani has been a staff surgeon in private practices in North Carolina, Texas, and Hawaii. He had also spent some time in academia as an Assistant Professor of Small Animal Surgery at Tuskegee University.
Dr. Korani’s surgical interests include complex orthopedics surgeries, including fracture repair, bone & joint surgery, sports injuries, TPLO/TTA, corrective skeletal deformities, reconstructive skin & wound surgery & management. He is also skilled in Abdominal, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, Neurosurgery & minimally invasive procedures that include Laparoscopy, Thoracoscopy, Endoscopy & Fluoroscopic surgery.
He enjoys spending time with his two young children and, when time allows, also enjoys reading, and working out at the gym.
