Dr. Banz graduated from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. He completed an internship and a surgical internship at the Veterinary Specialty Hospital of San Diego. He then went on to complete his residency in small animal surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York. He joined VSA now Sage as a staff surgeon in 2008. Bill became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2009. Dr Banz enjoys all aspects of veterinary surgery from orthopedic, oncological and soft tissue surgery. Bill is married to another veterinary surgeon Angela and with their 2 children moved to the Portland area in 2020. Dr. Banz now travels back to the bay area to provide surgical services and collaboration with the team at Sage.
