Dr. John Macri is a board-certified veterinary neurologist who joined SAGE in the fall. Originally from Long Island, NY, Dr. Macri earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Hofstra University. He went on to complete his veterinary education at St. George’s University in Grenada, with his clinical training year at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

Following graduation, Dr. Macri pursued a rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Angell Animal Medical Center in Boston. He then returned to NC State for a three-year residency in neurology and neurosurgery.

Dr. Macri recently relocated to San Francisco with his two cats, Bucatini and Antonella. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors and relaxing at home with his feline companions.
