Dr. Becker, a California native raised in Los Angeles, now calls the Bay Area home. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Animal Biology and his doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis. He completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery at VCA San Francisco Veterinary Specialists (now SAGE San Francisco), followed by a surgical internship at Guardian Veterinary Specialists in New York. During this time, he developed a strong interest in orthopedics and minimally invasive surgery, contributing to a published book chapter on single-port techniques.

He later spent a year practicing Emergency Medicine in the East Bay before completing a surgical residency at Metropolitan Veterinary Associates near Philadelphia. His professional interests include orthopedics, minimally invasive surgery, soft tissue reconstruction, cardiothoracic procedures, and surgical oncology. He has also conducted research on surgical incision healing, with a manuscript submitted for publication.

Dr. Becker has been involved in veterinary medicine since the age of 14. Growing up surrounded by animals fostered his appreciation for the human–animal bond and the privilege of caring for pets. Outside of work, he enjoys time with his wife, two sons, and their black cat, as well as training in Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu or working on hands-on projects at home.
