Dr. Michelle Nguyen is originally from the Bay Area and received her veterinary degree from the University of Glasgow. Following veterinary school, Dr. Nguyen returned to California to complete a rotating internship at VCA ASEC in Los Angeles. She later moved to the East Coast to complete both a cardiology specialty internship and an interventional radiology and endoscopy internship in New York at the Animal Medical Center. Lastly, Dr. Nguyen completed a three year cardiology residency with CVCA in Maryland in 2026.

Throughout her training, Dr. Nguyen has been involved in research of novel therapies for management of hepatocellular carcinoma. In addition, she has investigated hyperthyroid disease and its effect on cardiac biomarkers.

Dr. Nguyen has always loved animals and is excited to return to the bay area with her paralyzed dog, Max. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and spending time outdoors hiking, snowboarding, and scuba diving. She loves gardening and finds joy collecting some interesting indoor plants.
