Emma Faulkner received her undergraduate and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from Kansas State University in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Dr. Faulkner then pursued further training, with a Small Animal Surgery and Internal Medicine Internship at Oklahoma State University and two Small Animal Surgery Specialty Internships at VCA California Veterinary Specialists-Ontario and VCA West Coast. She worked as an associate in the Surgery Department at VCA California Veterinary Specialists-Ontario before starting her Small Animal Surgery Residency in 2021. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary surgery and is particularly interested in minimally invasive procedures and wound management.

Dr. Faulkner discovered her passion for surgery during her fourth year of veterinary school after she assisted with a double aortic arch surgery. Seeing the dramatic improvement in a young patient's quality of life after the procedure inspired her to pursue a career in veterinary surgery.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Faulkner enjoys spending time with her husband, Jon, and their six beloved pets - three dogs, Apple Strudel, Stroopwafel, and Honey Muffin, and three cats, Maple Syrup, Spice Cake, and Rocket Pop. In her free time, she enjoys hiking with her dogs, trying new restaurants, playing board games, traveling, and practicing aerial silks and flying trapeze.
