Born and raised in the SF Bay Area, Dr. Edelsohn graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine after completing her clinical year at the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.  She completed a small animal rotating internship, followed by two intensive surgical internships, the second of which was at a Level One Trauma Center at the Veterinary Specialty Center in Illinois.  Dr. Edelsohn went on to complete a three-year Research Fellowship at UC Davis School of Medicine in the department of Otolaryngology and worked particularly within the topic of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and speech pathology. Several publications are pending.

With a deeply rooted passion for surgery, Dr. Edelsohn joined Labcorp at their medical research facility as Veterinary Study Director for surgical medical device research. There, she collaborated with human physicians and medical engineers in the advancement of medical technology, before devices entering FDA approved Phase 1 Clinical Trials. Concurrently, she worked as an on-call surgeon and ER clinician in local emergency hospitals.

Dr. Edelsohn was thrilled to receive the offer to join SAGE San Francisco and to have been part of the inaugural team of staff doctors after the facility opened its doors in March 2022. She now serves as a vital member of the Emergency team, also bridging the gap between surgery and critical care.

Outside of work, Dr. Edelsohn enjoys swimming, live theater, traveling, baking new recipes and spending time with family and her cats, Polaris and Islay.
