Dr. O believes Anesthesiology is as much as it is an art, as it is a science. Being able to assess each patient individually and formulate a plan that best suits their specific needs is both the challenge and the beauty of Anesthesiology.
After a number of years spent in small animal general practice, Dr. O completed her residency in Anesthesia and Pain Management at the University of Wisconsin – Madison and became board-certified in anesthesia and analgesia (2013).
Her anesthesia-related interests include the practical aspects of clinical anesthesia and pain management, as well as anesthesia of unusual species and acupuncture.
Dr. O is also an active member of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia (ACVAA) including serving as a member of the Board of Directors, Abstract Coordinator, and numerous other committees over the years.
