Noelani Reinker

Background and Education:

Veterinary School: Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine Residency Training: University of Minnesota Certifications: Diplomate ACVIM (2011), IVAS, VCHM, Fear Free

Dr. Noelani Reinker was raised on O’ahu in Hawai’i.  As a child, she had a menagerie of animals (mice, rabbits, dogs, cats, horses, fish, and lizards) and it was no surprise to her family when she followed her passion to become a veterinarian.  After graduating from Washington State University Veterinary College in 2006, she went on to pursue an internship and residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota and received board certification in 2010.  She became certified in Acupuncture through IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) in 2021 and Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine (VCHM) in 2024. She loves the connection and additional tools that alternative medicine brings to her practice.

Outside of her veterinary practice, Dr. Reinker maintains a strong bond with nature. She can often be found backpacking in the Sierras or hiking closer to home. She has her wilderness first responder certification as well as an amateur radio license (KO6AJQ). To motivate herself to stay fit for her backpacking, she competes in triathlons as well.  She lives in San Carlos with her husband, a ~90-year-old desert tortoise named Goophus, and usually a litter of foster kittens.
