Background and Education:
Veterinary School: University of California, Davis
Internship Training: Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center, San Diego
Dr. Erin Nohava grew up on the Peninsula and kept busy competing locally and internationally in hunter/jumper competition. She went off to UC Davis to study Animal Science as an undergraduate and then graduated from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine (1999). After veterinary school, she completed an internship at the Emergency Animal Hospital and Referral Center in San Diego, where she was exposed to many disciplines of small animal and exotics practice. Erin returned to the Bay Area to practice emergency medicine exclusively. After working for several years in the South Bay, she took a position at the Contra Costa Veterinary Emergency Center (now part of SAGE Concord). She is thrilled to have a part in bringing comprehensive, quality emergency medicine to our community as part of SAGE Dublin.
Erin lives with her husband and son, along with a dog and four cats. Her horse has retired from the show circuit and is living the good life at pasture. Erin enjoys traveling and golfing – although she states that she is a much better traveler than golfer! When not working, she also likes to read, cross-stitch, and quilt.
