Dr. Leah Pomerantz graduated from Pritzer College in Los Angeles, CA with a double major in Biology and Studio Art. She went on to receive her DVM with honors from the University of California, Davis (2019). Dr. Pomerantz became a veterinarian because she has always been surrounded by companion animals. Her family fostered dozens of dogs and puppies while she was in middle and high school. She also had a zoo of pets throughout her childhood ranging from guinea pigs to tarantulas, so naturally, caring and being around animals is her passion.
Dr. Pomerantz enjoys working with her patients but finds the most reward in helping her clients care for their beloved furry family members. She enjoys ER as it is an opportunity to educate and support her clients though the initial difficulties of having a sick pet. Her clinical interests include emergency medicine, diagnostic imaging, and internal medicine.
When Dr. Pomerantz is not treating patients, she enjoys hiking, cooking, road tripping, embroidering, and exploring the Bay Area for its natural beauty and culture. She has a gargoyle gecko, and a big old goofy pitbull-mix.
