Dr. Katrina Stewart grew up in Australia, completing an advanced science degree at the University of Wollongong followed by two years working in an Embryology Laboratory in Sydney. She returned to study her veterinary degree at the University of Sydney, and following graduation worked in the Atherton Tablelands in Far North Queensland in a rural mixed practice for 2 years. Here she worked with many native animals including work for the local Bat Hospital.
Dr. Stewart went on to pursue a 1-year rotating internship at Mississippi State University followed by a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at Purdue University. She enjoys working in all areas of Internal Medicine. When Dr. Stewart is not treating patients, she enjoys being in the outdoors, is an avid swimmer, and loves to bake and crochet.
Dr. Stewart believes working with animals is a privilege and enjoys building lasting relationships with pet parents and their special family members. She looks forward to meeting you.
