Internship Training: VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center

Dr. Jessica Brandrup graduated from the University of San Diego in 2005 with a BA in biology and a minor in chemistry. She received her DVM from Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada. After graduating veterinary school, Dr. Brandrup completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Sacramento Veterinary Referral Center. Since finishing her internship, Dr. Brandrup has been practicing emergency medicine in California.

Dr. Brandrup enjoys the pace and unpredictability of emergency medicine, as well as being able to help owners in such a hectic time. Some of the aspects of emergency medicine she enjoys most include surgery and toxicologic emergencies.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Brandrup enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling around the US and beyond. Dr. Brandrup has wanted to be a veterinarian since before she could pronounce it, for love of animals and medicine.
