A Letter To Our Valued Pet Parents

To our SAGE community: 

The past five months have been full of unpredictable challenges with regularly evolving safety recommendations from various local and state health department. While adapting to the ever-changing guidance, what has remained consistent through it all is our unwavering focus on providing medical care to the pets who need us. 

We THANK YOU for your continued support, patience and understanding in working with us and adjusting to our new safety protocols designed to mitigate the risk of exposure during this pandemic. There is no higher priority to our entire SAGE family than the safety of our patients, team members, pet parents, and community. 

To maintain our focus on patient care as well as employee and client safety, we have made many changes that have impacted our workflow, including the way we must interact with clients and patients. 

To safely deliver the patient care and client service you expect from SAGE, recent changes include:  

  • Limiting hospital entry to staff and implementing outside patient exchange and client communication 
  • Check-out and payments are made over the phone 
  • Heightened cleaning protocols that meet or exceed CDC and health agency guidelines 
  • Screening of all employees for symptoms of illness daily and ask the same questions of clients bringing their pets in to minimize everyone’s exposure. 

With these protocols in place, we recognize our clients and patients may experience longer wait times and high call volume. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. We understand it can be frustrating, but we take the safety of everyone very seriously and want to continue serving our communities as an essential service.  We are continuously working to create and implement efficient ways to streamline workflows to reduce wait times, while keeping our team members, pet parents, and community safe.

We kindly ask, if you have any concerns regarding our workflow or wait times, please ask to speak with the hospital manager, rather than a team member who is assisting you and other patients.

We are thankful to serve our communities with the same focus and values on patient care that we’ve had for decades. We are all in this together. Thank you for being a part of our SAGE family. We are here for you when you need us, 24/7 – 365 days, including holidays.
