Originally from the waffle and chocolate-loving country of Belgium, Dr. De Lombaert grew up in Connecticut. She attended veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she became passionate about small animal surgery. After graduation, Dr. De Lombaert completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship in Kirkland, WA. Followed by a small animal emergency & surgery internship near Vancouver, Canada;  and a surgical internship outside of Chicago, Illinois. 

Dr. De Lombaert recently completed her small animal surgical residency at the University of Georgia (where she treated an abundance of bulldogs!). She is an avid cat lover and enjoys most aspects of surgery, especially polytrauma and emergency surgery.
