Hospital Operations Manager – SAGE Concord
TJ has been the Hospital Operations Manager for SAGE Concord since September 2015. As a HOM, he manages and consistently looks for ways to improve the operations of a high case load, 24/7 specialty and emergency veterinary hospital. He works closely with 18 doctors and 6 department leads to ensure staffing levels are appropriate to meet the needs of the patients and clients, and is responsible for selecting, hiring, training and developing clinical and client service support. His team also supports the administrative departments (i.e., Finance, HR, IT, etc.) within SAGE. He oversees the maintenance and servicing of this 17,000 sf facility, and is accountable for managing the P&L and annual operating plan.
Prior to coming to SAGE, T.J. worked as an Operations Manager at Friedman’s Home Improvement, Emser Tile and Lowe’s. His extensive talent and experience working at high-volume client-centric businesses has been beneficial to SAGE. T.J. has a BBA in Business Administration from Kaplan University.
T.J. is originally from Santa Rosa, CA and currently lives in Vacaville, CA. He is the proud father of 2 little girls (Savannah and Sophia) and is married to a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). His family is complete with “Liberty”, a 10-yr old pitbull, “Becca”, an 11-yr old Australian Kelpie, and cats “Jasper” and “Monkey”. T.J. is also a loyal fan of the Oakland Raiders, LA Lakers and LA Dodgers and many SF Giants fans at SAGE try not to hold that against him!
