Dr. Emily Hanwell received her BS in International Business from the College of Charleston (2001) and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine with her 4th year veterinary clinical rotations completed at Texas A&M University (2011). After veterinary school, she completed a rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City (2012). Dr. Hanwell has a particular interest in cardiology- and toxicology-related emergencies.
Dr. Hanwell decided to pursue a career in veterinary medicine after a brief stint in the traditional world of business, because of her love of working with both people and animals. When not at the hospital, she enjoys traveling, learning new languages, and sampling different cuisines. Emily is the proud owner of a mixed-breed dog by the name of Bryn.
