She became board certified in internal medicine in 1996. Dr. Nicholson particularly enjoys the challenges of hepatology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, infectious diseases, and immune-mediated diseases.

When not practicing, Brigid enjoys the outdoors (backpacking), knitting, reading, and spending time with her family. She is the proud owner of a dog named Smidgen, and cats named Etoile and Flash. Brigid was drawn to veterinary medicine both by her innate love of animals and a keen interest in medicine, encouraged by her father, a pediatric endocrinologist. A native New Yorker, Brigid spent her summers while in college working at cow farms, and spent the year between college and vet school working on a dairy farm in New Hampshire.
