Dr. Ayeley Okine is a graduate of Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. Following veterinary school, Dr. Okine completed a rotating medicine and surgery internship at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey, which was followed by a small animal internal medicine specialty internship at MedVet Medical and Cancer Centers. She would continue at MedVet to complete her residency in internal medicine.
Dr. Okine has a strong professional interest in immune-mediated blood disease and gastrointestinal disease. She values building close relationships with her patients and their owners. Through education and communication, Dr. Okine helps owners make informed, collaborative decisions about their pets’ disease process and treatment options.
When she’s not practicing, Dr. Okine enjoys reading, going to the beach, and pursuing her new interest in cooking. She’s the proud owner of two dogs – Nelly, a Weimaraner, and Tommy, a lab-boxer mix.
