sage_campbell_100716_0510Each SAGE facility is equipped with a 24-hour critical care unit for hospitalized patients with serious and life-threatening conditions. Critical care is the continuous support and monitoring of the animal’s needs. Those needs can include oxygen delivery, IV fluids of many types, blood or plasma transfusions, surgery, nutritional delivery, pain control, and of course, TLC. These efforts improve the quality of care your pet receives during this crucial time, bettering the chances for a good outcome.

SAGE has several specialists board-certified in emergency and critical care. Our Criticalists have received extensive training in treating patients experiencing trauma, shock, respiratory issues, and other life-threatening conditions.

Our board certified Criticalists work very closely with our emergency team of doctors at all locations. Dr. Jessica Beymer is primarily located in Concord, and Dr. Megan Davis in Redwood City.
